These terms and conditions govern the use of Weisscamp’s services. By making a reservation, the client confirms that they have read, understood, and accepted these terms.
1. Reservations and Payments
1.1 To confirm a reservation, a down payment of 20% of the total rental amount is required.
1.2 The remaining balance and the security deposit must be paid upon delivery of the camper.
1.3 In case of cancellation, the 20% down payment is non-refundable.
1.4 Payments can be made by bank transfer, debit/credit card (Transbank or Mercado Pago), or cash. A 3% surcharge applies to all card payments due to processing costs.
2. Security Deposit
2.1 A security deposit of CLP $1,500,000 must be paid via bank transfer upon receiving the camper.
2.2 If the camper is returned in perfect condition, the deposit will be refunded within a maximum of 2 business days.
2.3 Any damage, malfunction, or fine will be deducted from the deposit as applicable.
3. Delivery and Return
3.1 The camper is delivered clean, in optimal working condition, with a 5 kg gas cylinder and a full water tank (80L).
3.2 The camper must be returned in similar condition, except for the gas cylinder and water tank, which do not need to be refilled.
3.3 If the camper is returned in inadequate cleanliness conditions, an additional cleaning fee of CLP $50,000 may be charged.
3.4 Delivery and return fees:
– For Santiago and nearby areas within 1.5 hours of travel from Limache, the cost is CLP $120,000 per trip.
– Pickup and return in Limache: no additional cost.
4. Driver and Camper Use
4.1 The camper driver must be at least 20 years old and hold a valid Class B license or its international equivalent throughout the rental period.
4.2 The lessee signing this contract will be solely responsible for any damage, violation, or incident related to the use of the camper.
4.3 It is strictly prohibited to transport people inside the camper while the vehicle is in motion.
5. Recommended Speed
5.1 A maximum speed of 100 km/h on highways is recommended to ensure vehicle stability.
5.2 It is advisable to adjust speed according to road, weather, and traffic conditions for greater safety.
5.3 The lessee is responsible for complying with traffic laws and covering any fines in case of violation.
6. Lessee Responsibility
6.1 The lessee is responsible for damages, malfunctions, or losses not covered by insurance, negligent use of the camper, and any related fines.
6.2 In case of total loss of the camper, Weisscamp will file the claim with the insurer. If the amount does not cover the full market value, the lessee must pay the difference.
6.3 Weisscamp will notify the lessee of the amount to be paid, who will have a maximum of 30 calendar days to settle the balance.
6.4 If repair or replacement costs exceed the security deposit, the lessee must pay the remaining amount within 5 business days of notification.
7. Prohibited Actions
7.1 The following are strictly prohibited:
– Smoking inside the camper (fine: CLP $50,000).
– Subletting the camper or its parts (fine: equivalent to full rental value).
– Transporting people inside the camper while the vehicle is in motion.
8. Damage and Liability
8.1 If damages are attributable to the lessee, they must cover the costs of repair, towing, or camper replacement, even if they exceed the deposit amount.
8.2 Weisscamp will provide the lessee with all available documentation related to the incident and insurance claim process, to facilitate the corresponding procedures and any additional coordination required.
8.3 Weisscamp commits to providing all necessary information and seeking the most reasonable resolution for both parties.
9. Fines and Penalties
9.1 Any fine or violation resulting from the use of the towing vehicle, as well as improper parking, location, or use of the camper trailer, shall be the sole responsibility of the lessee.
9.2 Unpaid fines will be deducted from the deposit, including an administrative fee of CLP $20,000.
10. Jurisdiction
10.1 This contract is governed by the laws of the Republic of Chile. Any dispute shall be resolved in the city of Limache, Valparaíso Region.
